LONDON – Artist Banksy will visit this year’s World Travel Market trade fair.

Banksy told his followers that he will be promoting The Walled Off Hotel at London’s ExCel in an Instagram post on Friday.

The artist opened the hotel in March 2017. It says it has the “worst view in the world,” as it is just steps from the Israel-Palestine barrier wall in the West Bank.

In his announcement, Banksy says this will be his first-ever stall at a trade fair. A replica separation barrier painting will be used to promote the hotel. The artist jokes that “ironically the neighbours have complained it’s too tall.” He plans to be at the Palestine stand giving away free items.

The artist’s hotel features rooms and facilities visitors would expect from a standard hotel. Each room is designed by the artist, and much of the wall space throughout is decorated with original Banksy artwork. It is known to offer sanctuary to travelers in an otherwise unstable environment.

The World Travel Market London is a global event for the travel industry to meet professionals and conduct business deals. The fair provides access to suppliers, networking opportunities, tourism innovations and opportunities to learn from industry experts.

To see Banksy and the rest of the vendors at this year’s trade fair, register for free today. The show runs from Monday, 5 Nov. to Wednesday, 7 Nov at 1 Western Gateway, London E16 1XL.
